The Shares (Equity) Mobilisation commenced in 2015 at the GBR Prayer Camp and Retreat, where the second campaign for shares or equity mobilisation was launched.
Companies (corporates and SME’s) are encouraged to donate or pledge a percentage of the shares in their companies to the GFFJ. Some of these shares may be intended for black economic empowerment or indigenisation objectives enabling the GFFJ to be a powerful and strategic partner to companies interested in empowering disadvantaged and previously disadvantaged communities.
Donating shares in this selfless manner follows the example of Christ, who exhorted his followers to leave everything, take up their cross, and follow Him (Matthew 16:24).
There are rewards we have been promised for giving, but the greater honour is that we lay our life down for our brethren.
In order to follow the example of Jesus in facing the challenges of the less fortunate; to be a brother to the lost and the disadvantaged, a voice to the voiceless, a helper to the helpless and a source of hope for the hopeless.
